Greece intends to authorize AWP machines with cash prizes outside the casinos
ccording to the newsmagazine Sector del Juego *, the Greek government is preparing a draft which will be public soon.
This business could generate 1,300 million euros that would come from the costs of permissions to install these machines.
In view of this situation, the main AWP machines manufactueres in Europe are asking themselves how these new machines in Greece will be in the next future.
The trend in successful AWP markets, like in Spain, becomes a machine concept that reduce high maintenance costs, fraud and theft, or stopped machines as a consequence of empty hoppers (as a result of this last problem the operators have realised about the importance to pay out the prizes mixing coins and banknotes).
Related to this, Azkoyen will launch at the Interazar exhibition in Madrid its new concept “The machine of the future”: A machine capable to optimize the cash handling process in each machine as well as ensure the highest levels of safety and reliability. All these advantages will provide both the manufacturer and the operator higher benefits.
