The end of empty hoppers is getting closer
There is common circumstance for AWP machine operators : the slot hoppers are empty and stop machine.
In the past this situation didn’t occur because the machines did not include banknote reader.
However, nowadays, the use of banknotes is increasing and almost every machine includes a banknote reader. It has the following result: when the entrance of banknotes is up to 30% of the total amount of money, the machine doesn’t have enough coins to pay-out all the prizes.
Operators try to avoid this problem making preventive refills, however sometimes this is not enough and the machine finishes stopping. It entails an increase of logistical and management costs per machine.
Operators demanded us in several occasions to find a solution which could resolve this situation. These concerns led us to reflect on various ways to facilitate improvements to the operators. We raised the following question: it would be possible to pay-out the prizes with coins and banknotes? We have developed a banknote hopper, Billhopper, the most compact recycler in the market. With this innovation, the end of empty hoppers is getting closer, and it will help to reduce the maintenance costs and to increase the benefits.
