The banknote reader Billsensor is as reliable as an Azkoyen Hopper
The Billsensor has stood the test. In July it completed a year of working at peak performance without the need for maintenance in over 300 level 1 machines located in different parts of Spain (Andalusia, Catalonia, Castile and Leon, Navarre and the Basque country).
"The units were installed a year ago, giving instructions to the technicians that the regular preventive maintenance team should not service them (a sticker indicating "Do not clean" was included in some cases)." "Today the reader is still functioning as it was on day 1" - says Jose Luis Gondelle, head Technician of EGASA.
EGASA, a company with over 30 years of experience in the sector and whose operator has collaborated with Azkoyen on the product field tests.
In addition, Azkoyen has made numerous dust tests in a closed chamber, producing more than satisfactory results. The Billsensor has been designed with an auto-calibration system, which allows the sensors to adapt to the effects produced by the accumulated dirt and other atmospheric phenomena (temperature, humidity) maintaining levels of acceptance of Euro banknotes constant. For this reason, the Billsensor requires no maintenance by the user (calibration or cleaning).
The Billsensor was presented at Fer-Interazar 2009 and it is already running in more than five thousand machines. A concept with DSP technology especially designed for the Leisure industry due to its compact size, low maintenance and high speed in validation and acceptance.
