Azkoyen has once more complied with the requirements for ISO and OHSAS quality certificates. In 2010 Azkoyen Medios de Pago has successfully renewed its quality system certifications (ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18.000).

The Azkoyen Quality management system provides an integrated management of quality, environment and the prevention of occupational hazards. Azkoyen Medios de Pago first obtained the ISO9000 certification in 1998. Subsequently the quality system was updated to include the management of occupational risk passing the external statutory audit carried out by the company ASG in 2003. In June 2006 the TÜV Rheinland Group certified the integrated management system in Azkoyen renewing the ISO9000 certification, and certifying for the first time the environmental management, ISO 14001 and occupational risk, OHSAS 14000 certifications.

The Management model used to make these changes is that laid out by the EFQM Foundation. In 2010 Azkoyen Medios de Pago carried out its fourth assessment according to the criteria defined by this model. During these last few years the company has refocused its management guidelines by implementing changes that affect all areas and business processes in the company.

The EFQM Excellence model is the most used in Europe, its organizational framework serving as a basis for most regional and national awards for quality. This is a tool that analyzes what the situation of the company is, in organizational terms, in comparison to others of similar characteristics, thus helping to define the goals at the organizational level and executive operation.
